For examples of what I can help with see this page. If your issue isn’t listed, let me know what the problem is using the contact form and I’ll let you know how I can help.

  • Set-up & data transfer

Get your data on to a new Mac without transferring all the old stuff you don’t want.

Keep your new Mac fast and efficient by only installing the applications you need.

  • Slow Macs

Get your Mac working quickly so you can get stuff done.

A software rebuild will improve the performance of most Macs, especially if you have installed a lot of software or have transferred software from an older Mac.

Some iMacs and Mac Minis may also need an upgrade from a conventional hard disk to a faster SSD to improve performance.

  • Software rebuild & upgrades

A software rebuild will improve the performance of many Macs

The rebuild will get rid of old applications and utilities that you no longer need, these can slow down your Mac or make it crash.

Only compatible versions of applications will be reinstalled, everything is checked for compatibility with the installed version of macOS.

If your Macs operating system hasn’t been upgraded in a long time, getting a rebuild & upgrade will save you time and ensure everything on your Mac is compatible and working correctly.

  • Data Recovery

If you have a device which needs data recovery, I may be able to help. Once we have discussed the situation is, I can offer help or direct you to a data recovery specialist.

  • On-site or not?

On-site service available within the greater Helsinki / Espoo area and further away by arrangement. See the Prices pages for cost.

Ideal for problems that can only be seen at your home or business, for example WiFi issues or issues connecting to equipment that is difficult to move.

  • Back up

I can help to recommend and set-up backup solutions, including Apple’s Time Machine, which is built-in to macOS.

Due to the high level of security on new Macs, having a backup can be the only way to recover data in some situations, for example if the Mac is physically damaged.

Making sure you have an frequent, reliable backups can save both money and stress if your Mac is lost, damaged or stolen.

  • Passwords

If you have forgotten a password or it needs to be reset, you will need to contact support for assistance. For example, if you need to reset your AppleID password, this can only be done by Apple and you – for security reasons Apple will not speak to someone on your behalf,.

Most other services offer an online password reset service.

For security reasons, services will only deal directly with the owner of the account when resetting a password. Never trust a third party with your password information. Note that reputable password management applications will store your passwords in a form that only you can access.

Apple has built-in password management for macOS iOS and iPadOS called iCloud Keychain, which you can use to store your passwords securely, automatically generate secure passwords for your accounts and share your passwords across your Apple devices. You can find out more about it here:
